Hey!! I am moving to Xela at the end of October or beginning of November. I am currently living in Antigua working for Habitat for Humanity and I am moving to Xela to continue my work with them for at least another year. Jamil Barton told me about this place, he is a good friend and my co-worker as well. I am super interested. Love yoga and community style living. Hope to hear from you soon.
Kevin we met and talked for a few minutes at Jamil’s bday party. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks

hi alana,
thanks for your interest.
may or june are still pretty far away, but here goes.
we have 12 rooms and a large and well equiped, clean kitchen.
there are 4 yoga classes offered during the week.
rent is reasonable by xela standards at between q650 and q950 a month with internet and some other incidentals tossed in.
we have had people from all over the world, though, at the moment it is dominated by the us and canada.
unfortunate.
i think that as the time draws closer, you ought get back in touch with us.
once again thanks for the note and hope to hear from you again. if there is anything specific that you want info on dont hesitate to write again.

hi kyla,
thanks for your interest.
are you into hatha yoga, or are you just looking for a room¿
we have a large house with a well equipped kitchen.
we offer wifi and 4 yoga practices a day.
there is no maid service so, each of us is responsible for our messes as well as
a chore once a week, none of them are really demanding.
i am pretty sure we will have some rooms open in feb and mar.
if you want a guarenteed space, you will need to give me some sort
of verbal commitment, and the dates you are interested in.
you can get in touch with us easier at yogahousexela(a)gmail.com
thanks again and hope to hear from you soon.

Hey guys, I’m not sure who is in charge of this blog (Kevin/Raf/anyone who was around in 2007), but this is Daniel (and Kate) and we just wanted to say that we miss ya’ll! We’re both finishing up our time here in Portland, and Kate is heading to a grad school for neuroscience in the fall. Maybe we’ll stop down there on our way out East? Raf: sorry I missed you last time. Holler!

Hi Kevin/ Raf
I’m interested in finding out about rooms for October, as I will be arriving in Xela in the first week of October and will be working for an NGO there. I am a practising yogini and the idea of living in a house of like minded people is very appealing.
The NGO I will be working for is scouting for accommodation options for me at present and would like to come visit you next week to see what options there are.
I was initially just searching the web for yoga studios in Xela when I found your site and thought it would be the perfect solution, as the NGO I will work for has limited funds and will only cover my accommodation and food, with no salary. Your room rates are well within their budget and the idea that I can practise with you all in different styles of yoga is inspiring. I practise at home daily and was wondering whether the NGO’s budget would extend to housing that would accommodate enough space for sleeping and a yoga practise.
Please let me know if you have any openings for October. Danielle from Cultural Survival will come by the Yoga House on the 7th or 8th of September to have a chat and see what’s possible, if that’s okay with you.
Cheers,
Patricia
